Annual Student Survey in Canvas | How to Apply Extra Credit

Greetings Faculty! It's that time of year again where our students are surveyed regarding their learning experience.

*PLI provides extra credit for student's participation and wants to be sure our teachers know how to execute in Canvas*

 

Steps for Success are below:

  • Step 1: Confirm or create the "Participation Group" via the "Assignments" tab. *Do so for all courses*

 

  • Step 2: Create an Assignment to apply extra credit for the students using the "+ Assignment" button. Upper-Right of the "Assignments tab." Title the assignment "Student Survey "School Year" Extra Credit. Determine the number of points for credit, Assign the assignment to the "Participation" group, change the "Submission Type" to "No Submission," Assign a "Due" date and "Save & Publish!"

 

  • Step 3: Open the extra credit assignment in the SpeedGrader and apply scores as the students request credit.
